About Yak & Yeti
More about the restaurant: Yak & Yeti
Tucked up in the proverbial valley of Yau Ma Tei between Jordan and Austin stations, Yak & Yeti makes Kowloon seem like K2 in terms of the fantastic Nepalese and cuisine on offer, but it’s hardly a hike to get to. We second the the house recommendations with not a moment’s hesitation – tandoori ran (whole leg of lamb marinated in a tandoori masala and barbecued in the traditional clay oven) and the tandoori fish pomfret – but remember you need to order these at least a day in advance. Reservations are essential. Otherwise, this cosy restaurant on Canton Road is one of Hong Kong’s most celebrated sources of Himalayan-style food, and is worthy of a visit if you are a fan of hearty South Asian cuisine.
