About Toretore Hamayaki 漁獲浜燒
More about the restaurant: Toretore Hamayaki 漁獲浜燒
Few places in Hong Kong are as dedicated to the Japanese fishermen’s tradition as Toretore Hamayaki in Causeway Bay. Hidden away 18 floors up on Hennessy Road, Toretore Hamayaki suits a special business lunch, casual evening meal or special treat. Hamayaki started with fishermen grilling up the freshest of seafood, right on the beach, with limited seasoning. That’s the tradition that Toretore Hamayaki follows, and whether you opt for Hiroshima oysters, giant crab, Japanese scallops, eel, peony shrimp, octopus, salmon, tuna, globefish, baby horse mackerel or anything else from their encyclopedia of seafood choices, you know it’s going to be incredibly fresh and full of flavour, each dish’s natural characteristics delicately enhanced by seasoning and a coal grill. It’s not only hamayaki though; Toretore has endless sushi, sashimi, hotpot and side options, and vegetarians have plenty to choose from including sweet potato & pumpkin tempura, deep-fried cheese rice cake or chilled tofu.
