The man behind this typically international Hong Kong restaurant remains a mystery, as does his garden. Until you realise that Tim’s Garden – the man and his veggie patch – are metaphors, not meant to be taken literally. Instead, diners at this restaurant, next to the Design Furniture store on Kau Yuk Road, ten minutes’ walk from Long Ping and way too far away from Yuen Long station to even bother, are invited to pretend there’s a gentleman called Tim – friendly, adventurous, with a yen for European cuisine – cooking up a ‘garden’ of delicious dishes for your indulgence. Tim’s Garden – it’s not what you think, but you are what you eat. E.g.: Australian grilled lamb rack with mustard, French baked spring chicken, Hokkaido scallop pasta, and Italian black truffle risotto.
