As the name suggests, pork is king at The Salted Pig. Situated right on the waterfront on Tai Hong Street, this pork lover’s paradise is located directly by Sai Wan Ho Harbour Park and a short walk to the station. Here you’ll find a country-themed environment that’s perfect for pigging out on pork and gobbling down sides like you’re in the Wild West (and not Hong Kong). Open daily until late, The Salted Pig is a unique place to dine in the harbourside developments of Lei King Wan.
The Salted Pig has become so popular in Hong Kong, that it had to open a second location over the water from Kowloon just to deal with the hordes of enthusiastic pork fans crowding in daily to get a taste of The Salted Pig’s unbelievably tasty lunch and dinner options. Situated among the private living community of Lei King Wan in the vicinity of Sai Wan Ho, The Salted Pig on Tai Hong Street has made it easier than ever for locals to get their pork fix. And best of all? You can bring your vegetarian friends, too. The Salted Pig offers tasty options for everyone!
Complete with snacks, starters, soups and platters, seafood, chicken, beef and of course, pork, the menu at the Salted Pig’s Hong Kong island branch down Tai Hong Street is chock-full of excellent choices. But of course, we recommend taking a gander at the pork options, including pork knuckle, a tasty rack of ribs, bacon wrapped pork tenderloin, suckling pig, and pork quesadillas. Order the pork platter for two and enjoy tenderloin, belly and ribs, or enjoy the pig ear pasta made with homemade spiced chorizo, fennel and parmesan. Hungry yet? Make your reservation for The Salted Pig today in the Lei King Wan neighbourhood of Sai Wan Ho and start pigging out today.
The key differentiator for this restaurant is the staff. They are very friendly and will always make you feel welcome. The menu is obviously great although I wish there were some more greens
Great food! Also good value having the 2 hr free flow prosecco. Not everyone knows about it, so just ask staff when you get there.
Lovely food and staff. We enjoyed our dinner there. Must try the mocktail - red pig, refreshing and delicious. Suckling pig was delicious too. Portion was pretty big for suckling pig.
Me and my old friend dined at this restaurant on 26 nd October 2017 At 4 : 00 pm . Many thing we actually enjoyed !
Excellent selection of food and drinks including a few craft beers and mock-tails. Pleasant atmosphere with open front towards the harbour. Price wise, I found it rather reasonable. We ordered several dishes comprising: a meat platter, ribs , suckling pig, paella, blue swimmer crab spaghetti, cheesy gravy fries and drinks. With the exception of a small piece of crab shell in the crab pasta everything was very good. Staff were very nice and attentive. Have been here a few times in the past and have never been disappointed. I would recommend the ribs or the paella and I look forward to trying the pigs ear pasta next time I go.
Great butchers platter, suckling pig and pork knuckle! The decor and the servers were nice as well. Poutine we ordered was over-salted and the garlic bread lacked flavors and textures so I do not recommend those those side dishes. Over all a great place to have your meal with a peaceful background sand old school music.
A nice restaurant with good environment and lovely food. My family and I do like the signature Suckling Pig and the tasty crab Linguini. My son and I appreciate the birthday free offer ~ a very nice chocalate cake with vanilla icrecream we had.
Service is great. I love that it is air conditioned and somehow feels very outdoor when eating. They gave us happy hour price for our bottle of red wine which is great price and great taste. Had an enjoyable evening with two friends.
It was a good and pleasant experience. Quick, responsive, and friendly staff. Food was decent, good portions, good taste. The restaurant was not too noisy, no loud music and was decent enough to have a conversation without yelling your lungs out.
The dining atmosphere is excellent with good music. However the food was not up to expectation at all. The seafood paella is very dry and tasteless! While the salted pig speciality dish did not have enough taste to it! It is also not worth the price tag.
