There’s not much better than taking in the vast panoramic seafront views of Folkestone and feasting on quality British food, washed down with refreshing beer or a glass of wine. Meaning, The Cliffe Restaurant is the ideal destination. The Cliffe Restaurant is housed in a beautifully restored townhouse that doubles as The View Hotel, where you can while the day away over a lazy Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, or pop in for a decadent afternoon tea of homemade scones, finger sandwiches and an array of freshly baked pastries.
As for the a la carte menu (available 5-9pm daily), The Cliffe Restaurant boasts arguably the best British selection around. Kick things off with starters like the pan-fried squid with lightly spiced aubergine caviar and rocket, pan-seared scallops wrapped in pancetta with a mango salsa or soup of the day with warm crusty bread. For main, keep an eye out for the crispy pork belly with British black pudding, potato rosti, celeriac remoulade and apple puree, seafood linguine brimming with mussels, clams, squid and prawns cooked in a white wine sauce with capers and cherry tomatoes, or the vegetarian parmigiana packed with aubergine and roasted vegetables with a side of garlic bread. Whatever your selection, The Cliffe Restaurant in the town centre of Folkestone will leave you thrilled. Do yourself a favour and reserve a table!

Really great food and a lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and bar . I would definitely recommend and will also return again . I had the sea bass . It was delicious and the sweet potato fries and vegetables were also really tasty .
Great food and service. Spacious restaurant without unnecessary ambient noise. Very good range of choices on the menu. Attentive but not overbearing service. Everything was delicious.
