The emphasis is on Hunan Chinese specialties – the chefs are from Hunan, after all – so if you’re a spice nut you’ve found your spot at The Chinese Kitchen, who are some of the finest exponents around Hong Kong’s New Territories for the famously dry-hot flavours of Hunanese cooking. If you’re looking to sizzle the spice buds, we recommend the beef and pickled chillies, though there are loads of more mild options (covering seafood, meat and vegetarian) to suit all preferences.
