If you’re looking for a Thai restaurant in Hong Kong, you don’t have to be a logician to understand that the obvious choice, at least in the North Point area, would be Thai Cuisine. Located in the City Garden Shopping Arcade along Electric Road, Thai Cuisine offers just that, the world’s favourite Southeast Asian food. Regular dishes and soups like deep-fried pork neck, classic Thai green curries with pork, beef, or chicken, and tom yum kong sit alongside pineapple fried rice, spicy minced pork or seafood basil fried rice, fresh Thai salads and vegetarian options like the water spinach with malachan and spicy eggplant. If you’re coming in to Thai Cuisine from Central, head to Fortress Hill and take the overhead walkway to Electric Avenue.
A very down to earth Thai restaurant in the neighbourhood, authentic yet not pricey. It is a family owned restaurant and that brings back memories of my time in Thailand. The owner is super friendly. Rarely any Thai restaurants offer grapefruit salad and I was thrilled to order it. It is so refreshing and I'll come back again.
