Sure, Cantonese hotpot is a Hong Kong icon that any old joint can boil up – but few places in the city do it as elegantly and (at this level) affordably as Taste Restaurant & Bar in Wan Chai. Tucked away from the main Hennessy Road drag on Ship Street, Taste Restaurant & bar is a sleek modern eatery decked out in stylish design calling on both Chinese and western influence. More importantly, though, the food here is first-class, including of course the aforementioned hotpot but stretching across a broad menu of super fresh seafood, exquisite noodle dishes and some contemporary Chinese creations. You’ll be hard pressed to find somebody who would be unsatisfied with what they eat at Taste Restaurant & Bar, so it’s a great place for large groups – especially special occasions and corporate events.
It was, as usual, a relaxing and great dinner at Taste Restaurant. Both the food is up to expectation and standard, the waiters and waitress provided very attentive services. Even the boss also come to us from time to time. It makes us feel like home! Great dinner!
Good good and foo service particularly like to smoke chicken, salt & pepper fish square, and the egg yolk bun as well as the black sugar beehive steam cake as desert!
