Sushi Hiro CWB has been open for over 15 years in the Causeway Bay district of Hong Kong, led by Japanese sushi chef Yoshinobu Hiroi. With an enthusiasm for only the best ingredients, Hiroi imports products from all over Japan – from Hokkaido at the top, to Fukuoka at the bottom and plenty in between. Hiroi’s expertise is evident, with rice carefully chosen for minimal stickiness and high-absorbency (perfect for sushi making) and the sake selection curated based on each bottle’s measure of sweetness and dryness. Sushi Hiro CWB on Yun Ping Road is about thought and intention, with Hiroi constantly polishing his skills and handling the food with traditional preparation techniques in order to offer customers the ultimate Japanese dining experience.

The quality of sushi at this Causeway Bay restaurant is all about the freshly-sourced seafood. The nigiri selection at Sushi Hiro CWB is extensive and features the likes of shrimp, clam, mackerel, eel, salmon, sea urchin, grilled eggplant and fish roe. Be sure to order at least one piece of melt-in-your-mouth fatty chutoro tuna – it’s delicious. The maki and temaki rolls are also a creative delight, with the likes of pickled plum and shiso leaf or ark shell tentacles and cucumber available. We recommend ordering an assorted sushi or sashimi box, giving you an opportunity to taste all the varieties and wonder at the diversity of fish and seafood available.
