About 陶源酒家 Sportful Garden Restaurant - Kennedy Town

There are are few greater dining delights in Hong Kong than dim sum, and if you’re in the city, you’d be crazy not to pick up a piece or two on your trip. The best bet, as ever, is to go where the locals go, and they’ll tell you in no uncertain terms that Sportful Garden is the name of the game as far as great dim sum in Hong Kong goes. The Cantonese and Chinese classics on offer are extensive, and wherever you are in the city, you’re never that far away from an outlet. On the island side of the water in Sai Wan, you can find them easily enough, down on Queen’s Road, so make the journey and book a table now. You won’t be disappointed.

Further Information

The pantheon of Chinese cuisine is a broad and diverse, and the full scale of the country is there to be discovered at the dinner table. The area around Hong Kong is dominated by Cantonese cuisine, so it isn’t hard to see why the city has become a haven for the finest in the Canton culinary canton, and once you recognise this, then you’ll not be able to tear yourself away from the magnificent morsels on offer. The blue riband of Cantonese cooking is dim sum, and if you’re looking for the best dim sum in Hong Kong, then search no further than Sportful Garden on Queen’s Road West in Sai Wan Ho. There you will enjoy their traditional interior, crystal chandeliers and stately decor, perfect for benqueting.

Sportful Garden offer a huge range of classical and modern dishes, with a menu that boasts not only the favourites, but also an array of obscure and less-sighted dishes to excite those with a sense of adventure. There are dumplings, of course, stuffed with vegetables, mushrooms, meats and seafood, and then steamed or fried, as well as the likes of duck tongue with jelly fish, pork trotters, steamed chicken feet with abalone sauce and much, much more. Book a table and take the train out to Sai Ying Pun or HKU in Sai Wan Ho, before wandering down Queen’s Road for some of the finest dim sum in Hong Kong.
