Further Information

There’s more to Spice 8 than meets the eye. That is, the casual eye roving over the sign above this Hong Kong restaurant’s door in the Metropolis Mall, down Metropolis Drive near the Hung Hom MTR. The sign reads, Spice 8, Thai & Indian Cuisine. This is not false advertising. The Thai and Indian dishes served in this cosy yet classy eatery are true to their (gingery) roots – packed with delicate spiciness and fresh flavour. Tung choy and Kashmiri pulao, pad thai and palak paneer, tom yum kung and more tend to fill the mall with inviting aromas, luring hungry shoppers into this international den of culinary delights.

The more to Spice 8 is that it also, somewhat inexplicably, houses a pasta and pizza buffet and a stylish bar. Ok, so the bar’s a must, but pizza and pasta at an avowedly Thai and Indian restaurant? As if the two advertised cuisines didn’t represent fusion enough. It’s to Spice 8’s international credit, though, that they should offer shoppers in Hong Kong’s busy Metropolis Mall more than enough options when it comes to dining. Spice 8 also delivers, and can capably cater your next big event. But book a table at this restaurant down Metropolis Drive, near Hung Hom MTR, if you want a real taste of India, and Thailand, or Italy, or all of the above.
