Tucked away off King’s Road on Hoi Tai Street, this restaurant is quiet and unassuming from the outside, but come in and sit down and you may be surprised to realise that you’re sitting in a sleek, funky modern Japanese eatery with food as good as any you’ll find with these prices in Hong Kong. The dishes are beautifully presented and generously sized, and for a delicious and filling lunch we can strongly recommend one of Snapper’s signature seafood noodle soups – the cuttlefish ball and octopus versions are particularly popular. Most familiar Japanese favourites are here if you’re after a creature comfort, and even a range of tasty, refreshing iced teas, and whether you’re lining up a family meal with young ones, a romantic date or a solo lunch Snapper seems to fit the bill pretty well.
