There is a breadth of European cuisine on offer in Hong Kong – from the local pizzerias and pasta shops, the top-end French brasseries and the many hip tapas bars that have popped up all over the city. Often under-represented in the culinary scene is the cuisine of Germany, but down in Causeway Bay there is a restaurant flying the flag for the fatherland in the form of Schnee German Restaurant on Lockhart Road. The Essen on offer at Schnee takes in all of the German repertoire: Schweinshaxe with potatoes and sauerkraut, a huge range of sausages served up with sweet mustard, spatzle & knodel dumplings. Take a trip to Causeway Bay MRT and wander around the corner for a German feast – washed down with a Weissbier or two – just remember to book yourself a table before you arrive.
Fairly good food. Nothing really special. House red wine was not available so they offered us a glass from the bottle menu and that was nice. Quite surprised as I don't know much about German wine
