Opening with a lot of hype and promise to those longing for more authentic European food around Tai Po, Route 83 is set to make a real splash on Kwong Fuk Road. Specialising in British and Italian food, Route 83 provides a quality western dining experience in a nice atmosphere of funky modern furnishings in the heart of Tai Po. If you’re looking for something light (or on a diet) they have a crispy Caesar salad, though there are few better places in this part of Hong Kong’s New Territories if you’re seriously hungry for some western comforts – a peri peri chicken burger is sure to satisfy many an appetite, though homemade Italian pizzas and hearty British fish and chips will certainly keep you going, too, or if you’re looking for a bit of Asian-western fusion try the intriguing fried noodle hot dog. Route 83 is already being talked about, so it’s best to book ahead to try this cool new eatery for yourself!
We ordered 2 meals. The German knuckle tastled good, the skin was very crips, the bad thing is it was too salty, i drank a lot of water after the meal. My wife got a spaghetti with clam in garlic, there was sand in some of clam.
