Rimjhim Indian Restaurant can’t be accused of lacking confidence. They don’t settle for calling their kitchen staff chefs – they’ve named them “food artists”. It isn’t hard to see why. They use only the best in natural and local ingredients and then ally them to time-honoured cooking techniques and authentic recipes that bring out the very best in the dishes. Their list of house specialities long and repeat visits are required to make the most of it. Go for their house signature, Rimjhim Chicken, which includes leg and breast cooked on the bone with a chef’s special masala spice mix and saffron rice, or the lamb Shahjahani, in a fiery sauce with garlic and citrus. Veggies will be spoiled for choice and all the classic curries are there for if you are feeling conservative: there is truly something for everyone. Just remember to book ahead, as they have been known to fill up at times and you wouldn’t want to miss out on what they have to offer down on City Road in Winchester town centre.
It is always a lovely experience going to this restaurant and we are always made very welcome the food is well cooked and well served and delicious
Lovely meal! Fresh ingredients and spices. Generous portions. It was all good but the popadoms and garlic naan were the best I have had recently.
This is easily the best indian restaurant in Hampshire. Everything is perfect, the decor is fantastic & modern, the staff are very welcoming & the quality of food is second to none. With a very extensive menu which includes water buffalo locally sourced, you will struggle to find a better place to taste authentic indian cuisine.
