Ozu Bar Hong Kong is a lively spot, to say the very least. Easily one of the coolest bars in Central, Ozu Bar is the place to head when you want a night of revelry sipping on delicious cocktails, sake, whiskey, beer and wine, and nibbling on some tasty bar bites. Funky and stylish, this is an ideal choice for after-work drinks, catching up with pals or getting the whole crew together for a night of tasty drinks and delicious food… with some dancing in between, of course. Ozu Bar Central is located along Hollywood Road and is a local favourite for very good reason so reservations are essential to avoid disappointment.
We were there for the private cocktail making workshop and then just stayed on for the music, the vibe, the cocktails and the food.
In terms of the food offering at Ozu Bar Hong Kong, you can expect to find a pretty enticing selection of bar bites. If you opt for the Japanese-style barbecue, we love the grilled eggplant, tiger prawns; scallops, wasabi salmon and pork belly… to be honest though, it’s all delicious. To soak up the cocktails, we also recommend you order up some deep-fried treats like the Japanese dumpling (yes, they’re deep-fried), popcorn chicken and tofu fries, as well as a duo of sliders. You can always order more at Ozu Bar in Central as the night continues.
In terms of drinks, you’ll be in for a treat, trust us. Sake fans can choose a sake flight of Born Tsuya Junmai Daiginjo; Hakkaisan seishu and Kaiun tokubetsu junmai, as well as a range of aromatic, mellow and flavoured selections. We’re very partial to the Ozu Bar cocktails and love the sakeila made with tequila, sake, lime juice and passionfruit; kyu of gin, sake, lime, kiwi and cucumber or the smoked roses & sake of sake, elderflower, fresh roses, lemon and rose syrup. Feeling tempted by Ozu Bar yet? You should be. You’ll find it on Hollywood Road in Central Hong Kong, where you’ll be in for a night to remember.
