We’re not making any bones about it – Olé Spanish Restaurant is setting the bar dangerously high
for great food in Hong Kong. With its beautiful interior, guests feel as if they’ve been transported
across the world to Barcelona where life is easy, people are friendly and the sun shines
brightly. Diners are sometimes shocked upon leaving that they are, in fact, on central Hong Kong’s
Ice House Street, right in the thick of the hustle and bustle of urban life.
Fine wine and tapas make for the perfect dinner with a group of friends, and Olé Spanish Restaurant really delivers in that department, especially when it comes to great service, amazing cuisine, and lovely atmosphere. Grilled cuttlefish with aioli sauce make for a perfect starter, and diners love sharing the deep-fried Spanish patron peppers. Planning a big event? There could hardly be a better venue for celebrating than at Olé Spanish Restaurant in central Hong Kong. Seating up to 65 guests with audio equipment and projector included, it’s the ideal location for a private event.

Excellent food, setting, atmosphere and live music! So relax that we spent three hours dinning there without knowing the time. Definitely will visit again and again to finish all tapas dishes !
Environment is vibrant . Food is deliciously prepared and served at good tempo. Definitely an excellent choice to spend an evening with friends or family.
Have been at this restaurant many times. It never failed. Food was good as well as good wine selection. A very traditiinal Spanish cuisine and cozy place. Nothing fancy but delicious authethic Spanish food.
I went there twice within a month, and on both occasions, the service, the food and the ambience were all perfect; no wonder it stays popular over several decades.
Excellent experience. I went there to celebrate my birthday with my parents and the staff were very courteous. They took their time to explain how the food was made even though there were many guests and schedule was tight. Food was on the whole outstanding. The tapas of octopus and slow cooked pork cheek worth most worthy of note. Gazpacho of an amazing standard and well complimented by condiments. Main course was the highlight of the night as the suckling pig was cooked to a level where the skin of the pig both crunched and melted in the mouth. Paella of similar standard with obviously well-sourced fresh seafood. Dessert slightly underwhelming but in the context of the whole meal it was excellent. Noise levels were relatively loud but it was not to the detriment of the restaurant as it contributed greatly to the lively atmosphere.
Very nice atmosphere and traditional decor. Friendly and efficient service led by the owner with much 'bon ami' and a personal touch. My wife and I kept to the tapas menu and we were very impressed with its quality. We have lived in Spain, like Spanish food and have eaten at many Spanish restaurants in Hong Kong. Ole is without doubt one of the finest. The prices, including the wine menu, is reasonable and good value for the quality offered. We paid HK$900 for two persons inclusive of a great meal and wine. We will definitely go again. It was busy so book ahead.
We chose this restaurant as it has had many good write ups and we tried to get in a few weeks ago but it was fully booked. The head waiter was very helpful from the start of our meal with recommendations. We had the white sangria which was refreshing and light. We also had a mixture of tapas and mains all authentically Spanish. We were not rushed from our table and we spent nearly 4 hours there. A memorable time had by us all. Thank you.
Wonderful service with very delicious food and relaxing environment ! Made us feel like we are really in Spain for holidays! There was a live band during the dinner period and they were nice to the customers and tried to sing the songs we all like ! We were there to celebrate birthday and the restaurant prepared a surprise birthday cake and followed by a live singing birthday song ! Very warm and def come back for more Spanish food ! Well done
Very pleased with the food and service! The tapas offered a great variety, and the lobster paella was delicious and well-textured (with addition of squid and crispiness of the rice). Service was fantastic. It was my mom's birthday so the chef decorated our dessert saying "Happy Birthday" and served it accompanied by a guitar duo who performed the birthday song and dedicated a song of our choice to my mom!
I tried the Venison Loin with Wild Berries, Sweet Potato and Red wine sauce, it was tender and sweet. The Wild Mallard Duck with Seasonal Mushroom and Herbs and Baked Rice was a bit raw and chewy. The pears in Port wine was good. The atmosphere with the live music was excellent and so was the service. A good place to share the food with love ones.
Food is excellent! It was a Friday so the restaurant was full. Hard to hear the live music but the musicians do make round to sing a song at every table. The setting is a little crowded compared with other Spanish Restaurants in Central, however, the variety of Tapas can trump most of the Spanish restaurants in Hong Kong.
We are celebrate my friend birthday, all of them very enjoy the restaurant like in Europe & food is delicious & half pig so brittle. They will take family to visit again. Band music very profession too. Staffs are great & helpful. Second time visit within a week.
This is an excellent genuine Spanish restaurant with outstanding service, delicious food and a relax and cosy environment for family gathering dinner with friends or business luncheon. They also have a professional and passionate live band to entertain the dinner guests. Thumbs up for the executive chef.
Authentic food, sincere service and great live performance--what more can you ask? I only hope they would provide more choices of wines (Sherry wines are fine, red and white selections can use some more varieties). All in all a great experience and just as great value.
Authentic Spanish restaurant- my wife is Spanish and she should know! The chef is from Spain (the South I think) and the paella is to die for. Suckling pig (though not our thing) is authentically - though strangely to some I'm sure - cut with a plate to show how tender it is.
The food was superb and service was up to par. Price for two at lunch time including drinks was around HKD1000, not cheap but it was worth it.This is no doubt one of the best places for Spanish food!!!
Restaurant ambience was nice and comfortable. Food was good and the waiter was helpful with suggestions. I casually mentioned the musicians weren't playing Spanish songs. They appeared at our table a few minutes later and played a few Spanish songs for us. I'll go back again.
Food is excellent and paired with a good range of Spanish wine at fair price. Live music does light up the atmosphere and the oldies add a lot of fine memories，an enjoyable evening indeed for all of us.
Overall great service and food. They have a wonderful wine selection and I highly suggest the gazpacho soup. The tapas alone are enough variety and food for a dinner. Try the potato salad. It is great.
Food is exceptionally good as always! I am very surprised that it's a full house even on a weekday. Nothing to complain about really, the lunch set is a really good deal. Best paella in HK, maybe top top in the world too.
