Like a steamer chugging up the Hudson past Lady Liberty, full of migrants anticipating a whole new world of opportunity, New York Diner has laid anchor at the North Point ferry terminal full of promise and expectation. So far, this cool 50s-style American grill on Java Road has delivered on its hype, pumping out supremely satisfying, modern incarnations of classic diner food from a cool setting adorned with spongy red booths, neon lights and striking wall art. New York Diner has quickly asserted itself among the leaders of modern American food in Hong Kong, with beastly brioche burgers, rustic chunky fries and hearty all-day breakfasts that stand alongside the best in the city for value and flavour. Throw in great coffee, interesting fusion dishes and its unbeatable North Point pier-side location and you have good reason to believe New York Diner may be the best of the bunch.
Service was really excellent. Food was ok, the nacho and wedges mash-up was pretty strange at first but we ended up really liking it. Milkshakes was pretty goood too
Once our favourite hang out after church coz burger was consistent but it was disappointing yesterday. Everyone felt the food was just so so... My friend asked me how to improve the pasts she was having difficulty eating! Felt so bad coz I planned this surprise birthday gathering!
The serving speed was extremely slow. One of my friends finished their food before the rest even got on the table. Food was average and not worth the wait.
