On the northern side of Hong Kong island there lies a tiny corner of Tokyo, tucked into the Mirage Tower on Thomson Road in Wan Chai. Here, amid the skyscrapers, is Mizuki Japanese Restaurant, an eatery dedicated to bringing the best of the Land of the Rising Sun to Hong Kong. Their selection of sushi, sashimi and soups are second to none, and with Japanese food proving increasingly popular, there really is no reason not to get yourself down there.
First time at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised by the presentation and quality of food. Even though only sets are available only for lunch, Mizuki presented each set very well with substantial quantity and great quality. I will be back.
Nice small Japanese décor restaurant tucked away on the 2nd floor. Very friendly and helpful staff made food selection easy, allowing us to order the lunch time menu for dinner.
Hong Kong is where all of Asia comes to eat, and in the Mirage Tower on Thomson Road in Wan Chai, we find the Japanese outpost. Mizuki Japanese Restaurant offers authentic fare from their homeland, with all the raw fish, carefully-arranged sushi and grilled meats that have made Japanese food so celebrated around the world. Whether you need a quick business lunch, a romantic date or a full evening banquet, you can find all you need at Mizuki.
A Japanese restaurant without a fresh fish selection and a stellar chef doesn’t bear thinking about, but at Mizuki Japanese Restaurant, diners need not worry. The sushi on offer in the Mirage Tower is among the best in Wan Chai, if not Hong Kong. It changes regularly, so what we advise is heading over to Thomson Road and sampling it – their banquets offer a chance to experience the full range of options, so book a table now to take them up on it.
