Peddling pan-Pacific vibes in both decor and drinks far above Wan Chai on the 29th floor of QRE Plaza – which contains a number of Hong Kong’s gastronomic gems – Mahalo Tiki Lounge is destined to become a refuge for the city’s slick sippers and party animals. Founded by cocktail connoisseur Max Traverse, Mahalo’s menu is chock-a-block with creative concoctions, many of which hark back to the golden era of mixology and the American obsession with so-called ‘exotica’. This bar and lounge oozes the sophisticated kitsch of the 70s and 80s, with an interior design by In Situ & Partners and a terrace offering sweeping views of Hong Kong. Drop by for a classic, share a cocktail bowl or barrel with friends – you’ll soon be offering a Hawaiian Mahalo! to this classy Queen’s Road East bar far too often.
Lovely staff, who gave us great service, they have a fantastic cocktail menu, and very nice tunes from the resident DJ till the early hours
Great Venue for a large party with lots of indoor and outdoor space. We had over 20 people for a party (only reserved for 15) and had a blast.
Drinks were too sweet and purely gimmicky - nice place though.
