About Le Port Parfumé
Taking its name from what the French once called Hong Kong, the fragrant harbour, Le Port Parfumé takes in turn its inspiration for both food and atmosphere from the famous streetside bistros of Paris, a city that’s not a harbour, and not all that fragrant. Diners in Hong Kong’s Central have long indulged a love affair with European culinary culture and, at the same time, a love of fresh seafood. Here the two come together in a restaurant tucked quietly away on Kau U Fong, a pleasantly tranquil side street between Queen Street Central and Aberdeen Street. It’s interesting to note that while Le Port Parfumé has a vibe that’s 100% Parisian bistro, the restaurant puts a mostly Spanish and Basque twist on the seafood that it focuses on. It also breaks with formal French dining traditions by curating a menu packed with dishes designed to share – a communal, familial, social mode to which that the Spanish tapas trend has led the way, and to which curious foodies in Hong Kong have caught on quick. Whether for lunch or for dinner, a meal at this European seafood restaurant in the heart of Central is ideal if you want to explore the nuances of several dishes with friends and family, but don’t want to go overboard in terms of cost or simple excess.
Start your meal with Le Port Parfumé’s classic charcuterie selection – pork terrine, duck rillette, Bayonne ham, saucisson – before moving on to a number of entrees to pass around the table. The baby squid and chorizo omelette is a Spanish-flavoured favourite, while Hong Kong diners will respond well to seafood favourites like the Alaskan king crab salad, or pan-seared Hokkaido scallops. The menu is tightly ingredient led, making the most of a daily delivery from the best fishmongers in Central and elsewhere in the city, so always be prepared for a few surprises when you make it to the restaurant’s Kau U Fong premises. A great way to pick your way through this European culinary voyage is to go for the set two- or three-course lunch menu, available daily from noon until 2pm.
Great French Bistro!!! Superbe food, friendly wine list, excellent service in a tastefully decorated bistro, amazing what the Chefs can do from such a small kitchen!!

Good ambiance, lovely 'bistro' decor, though perhaps a cool winter's evening is not the right time to leave the sliding wall open. Staff are very welcoming and attentive in a quiet, discreet way. All dishes were well-executed, producing fresh flavours, the oustanding item being the fantastic french fries! Overall a lovely restaurant in the heart of Central.
Good food! Ordered clams, salt baked fish and a bershire pork, all done perfectly and super fresh! Service was good too! I asked for recomendation for a after dinner drinking place and one of the staff there helped to make reservation at a hidden cocktail bar nearby and bought me to the place! ! Forgot to ask for his name. Just wanto say thank you! Awesome experience!
We ordered a scallop, lobster pasta and wagyu beef cheek. The scallop and pasta are nice. But the wagyu beef flavour was not strong enough. Not the best wagyu beef compare with other restaurant if you pay the same price. Service is good. Generally, I would recommend you to give it a go.
Great ambiance and i'm very much impressed with the appetizers and desserts, in particular the banana crumble with chocolate ice cream and blue cheese gelato. Lunch is especially good value for money, definitely worth a visit :)
We had lunch on Saturday. Environment was good. Servers was friendly and helpful. Desserts were highlight. I wish the meal was served too quick. Overall we had good times. Recommend if you wanna have a relAx lunch
