It’s very difficult to get through it all in one lifetime, but it’s extremely easy to say that the food at Katsuhachi on the 11th Floor of Circle Tower is well worth a go. The menu is huge, covering an encyclopaedia of seafood-based sushi and sashimi meaning you can treat Katsuhachi as a stylish Japanese bar, as well as enough delicious small dishes, skewered specialties and hand rolls to make it feel like a refined Chinese dim sum restaurant. Add to the list a plethora of magnificent Japanese mains and lesser known Japanese delicacies, as well as exquisitely presented deserts, and you have one of the most versatile Asian eateries in Causeway Bay, right in its heart on Tang Lung Street just off Hennessy Road. The decor is sleek and elegant, but communal eating is encouraged at Katsuhachi so you can either pop by for a quick lunch or gather a group for a long evening meal – just be sure to book ahead, because it gets pretty cosy!
