The food at Just a Restaurant (affectionately known as JAR to the locals) is a happy blend of contemporary comfort food and bistro-style dining space. JAR, in the Central district of Hong Kong is a relaxed place for a bite to eat with friends. Don’t be fooled by the chilled-out vibe, however, this Lynhurst Terrace restaurant takes its food very seriously indeed. The team provides a good buffet spread too – good to know next time you need to please an army of hungry pals.
it is a nice place, my friends & i like the salad bar. this is the third time for me to visit this restaurant la.
JAR prides itself on its comfortable, convivial and unpretentious approach to eating out. In Central Hong Kong there is something of a glut of expensive holier-than-thou restaurants that take themselves much too seriously. This is not something that the team on Lynhurst Terrace could be accused of; even the name Just a Restaurant reflects their disdain for those that take go too far in their pursuit of exclusivity.
As a friendly place, there’s plenty of great sharing options on the menu at Just a Restaurant. If you’re there in a big bunch, there’s no better way to while away the afternoon or evening than sampling the bits and pieces of the seafood and meat tapas menus. It is sometimes a struggle to find welcoming eateries in Central Hong Kong, so JAR is picking up plenty of the city’s disgruntled diners. Guests are piling in here with friends to take advantage of the Lynhurst Terrace restaurant’s great value lunch and dinner options, and primarily to get a chance to eat, drink and be merry with friends. JAR is open daily from 11am until 11pm.
