On Lee Tung Avenue in the heart of Wan Chai, Hei House is serving up unforgettable Malaysian cuisine to local foodies and laksa connoisseurs. Situated on Lee Tung Avenue, only steps away from Wan Chai station, Hei House has become a huge hit with fans of proper southeast Asian cuisine. From the time you step through Hei House’s beautiful front entryway, you’ll be greeted by some of Hong Kong’s friendliest servers and staff members, who’re always ready to answer any questions you may have. Start off with small bites like the cheesy pillow pork sliders, the popping squid wontons or the oyster pancake before indulging in mains like Singaporean laksa, beef rendang with turmeric rice, and tom yum lobster bisque noodles with king prawns and Devon crab roe. Wash it all down with a signature cocktail – the Salsa Rambla and the Rum Torch are our favourites.
The decoration is special, with old Hong Kong restaurant style. The food is good. Grill okra and Grill Tofu are special dishes. However, the waitresses and waiters are very business as I think they are shortage of manpower. The variety of beer is also not enough.
This is the first time we been Hei House. The atmosphere of the restaurant is pretty dark, cool and modern. Foods was quite yummy especially the knuckle. I like Malaysian Fusion cuisine.
