About Green Orange Restaurant & Bar

For authentic Italian food just a Kalamata olive pit’s throw from Sheung Wan station, head to Green Orange, proudly flying the tricolored flag from exquisitely moody premises on the second floor of the CS Tower down Wing Lok Street. Deeply invested in the long history and complex traditions of the cuisines of the bel paese, Green Orange offers a classically-structured menu and a great selection of drinks in one of Hong Kong’s busiest dining districts.

More about Green Orange Restaurant & Bar, Hong Kong

Green Orange’s offering is, as its name suggests, a colourful one, but this Italian restaurant in Sheung Wan keeps its central menu simple – as an authentic Italian restaurant should whether based in Hong Kong or Rome. Soups, salads, starters, risotto and pasta, main courses and delectable desserts are the order of the day, every day except Sunday, from noon until late. The a la carte menu is extensive and reliable, but remember to check the specials boards for the odd surprise if you’re looking for specific regional Italian specialties.

The few blocks around Hong Kong’s Sheung Wan station are swarming with international dining possibilities. The same goes for Wing Lok Street, where, if you look up by the CS Tower, you can find Green Orange. This restaurant tightens focus from the multitude of possibilities in the area to focus on continental European and specifically Italian cuisine. Start your meal with the chef’s soup of the day, scallop salad, and classic entrees like fresh oysters and mussels, Italian bruschetta, or French-inflected foie gras with port-poached pear. Risotto and pasta dishes abound, but hearty mains like the herb-crusted rack of New Zealand lamb or grilled US Prime Angus and tenderloin or Wagyu beef steal the show. Don’t forget the tiramisu!

My first time here and the food was fantastic and the staff very friendly and helpful. It was a bit $$$$ and the lighting was too dim struggled to see the menu and what I was eating. I would go back for that special occasion.

The crab meat risotto with truffle is very delicious and a very good combination! The restaurant was nicely decorated and quiet for meeting with friend. I will go again for sure.

This was my 4th visit. I appreciate the waiters and waitresses services. Love their German beer as well. I order the crab risotto everytime I visit.

The staffs were very friendly, introduced a German beer to us, whoch tasted great! The risotto with crab was amazing, together with the black truffles.
