Club Chow is a restaurant that takes the finest traditions of Western cooking and brings them straight to the streets of Hong Kong. Their chef, Simon, offers up an ever-changing list of house specials and seasonally-appropriate dishes, with a touch of French flair and an appreciation of fresh ingredients. Take the trip to Sheung Wan metro station and wander around the corner to The Pemberton on Bonham Strand for one of the finest examples of European-style cooking to be found anywhere in Hong Kong – just remember to book your table in advance.
We could wax lyrical about the Western cooking on show at Club Chow on Bonham Strand in Sheung Wan, but we’d be doing their other offerings a disservice. Their location in The Pemberton building allows Club Chow to bring plenty more to the table: cookery classes for you or your kids, corporate events that can excite your whole team and even high-class weddings, that can make your most special day even more, well, special. Hong Kong has plenty of places to offer those services, but few can combine them all like Club Chow can.
You’re here to book a table though, so let’s talk you through what you can expect to see when you make your arrival at Club Chow on Bonham Strand in Sheung Wan. Western-style food is their forte, and their menu takes in all the finest aspects of cuisine from Europe and the USA. Lobster Thermidor, lamb Provencal and filet mignon are just some of the French favourites, with US Angus striploin steaks and a whole range of Italian pasta dishes and rissottos to accompany them. Club Chow is clearly one of the finest dining destinations in Hong Kong – so book a table now and head over.
Food is very good, I had pork chop which is chef's recommendation and my friend always had chicken. The salad and soup were both satisfying and my lady server was thoughtful and helpful with orders such as reminding me that I might have soup as starter since my pork chop comes with salad. 👍🏻
No complaints except my companion found the portion seemed smaller... I like my mushroom soup and scallop asparagus risotto. There is however nothing new on the menu and it hasn't changed for quite a while.
Was there for the weekday set lunch. Great ambience and service, pastas were rather bland though (tried the seafood linguini and pesto fettucini). My guests' steak and burger looked good. Good sized portions.
I was happy to see seasonal additions to the menu & more than happy with my quinoa salad. Overall the quality of food and standard of service are well maintained.
The environment of the place is so relaxing, the food is good and not expensive, good for special event or business lunch. Will visit again shortly
