Mention of French cuisine conjures up all sorts of connotations, and it’s hard for most places to deliver on all of them. Most, but not all, and Chez Raymond de Paris is a Hong Kong haute-cuisine venue that proves it. Fancy foie gras and fresh truffle? They’re here, along with caramelised onion jam in a beautiful canapé option. Looking for heartwarming traditional paysan stew? Look no further than a beautiful French rabbit ragu with white wine and mushroom. Maybe you adhere to the school of thought that French dining equates to an elegant steakhouse – you’re vindicated here on Po Tung Road in Sai Kung, where Chez Raymond de Paris offers beautiful, comfortable surroundings and perfectly grilled fillet mignon and juicy wagyu steaks. Of course no fine French eatery is complete without a stunning selection of cheese (36-month-aged comte is a good start) and a cellar full of fine wines; both are in abundance at Chez Raymond de Paris.
Cheese fondue was wonderful and the wine was fantastic. Great value and Chef Raymond is so friendly amd personable. We look forward to our next dinner there and that time we will do the steaks
