Italian food is not the most famous culinary style in Hong Kong – the city-state’s location in East Asia puts paid to that – but at Castello 4 on Sharp Street in Causeway Bay, they are ploughing a furrow for the bel paese in HK. Their decor is sophisticated and modern, and their take on Italian food is authentic: pizza, pasta and paninis are the staples, along with steaks, breakfasts and more.
Unfortunately we got to the venue and it had relocated. This wasn't showing on my app booking. Therefore, i have no idea what food and venue was like as it was 3 MTR stops away and didn't want to travel there.
Average food and table is quite small. Fair price though.
An outpost of old-world European glamour in the heart of Hong Kong, Castello 4 on Sharp Street in Causeway Bay is a place to see and to be seen. Their Italian menu is one thing – and one in which you will not be disappointed – but their sophisticated and refined approach to the dining experience is what makes them standout. Their decor is indulgent and opulent, while also being contemporary and stylish. Head down for a meal, and be transported to an oasis of cool in Hong Kong.
While we can speak about the style quotient of Castello 4 in Causeway Bay, it is a restaurant, and so the food bears mentioning. Visitors to this corner of Hong Kong will not be let down on that front, with an Italian menu that encompasses the best of one of the world’s great cuisines. The pizza and pasta is top-notch, and lunchtime visitors will be excited to experience their panini selection. Take a trip to Sharp Street in Causeway Bar and enjoy the Italian fare: but make sure you book a table in advance.
