About Cafe Zense
More about the restaurant: Cafe Zense
We guess its name and its fabulous coffee suggest otherwise, but Cafe Zense doesn’t seem to fit the bill as your average cafe. It feels more like a sophisticated European bistro, still casual but elegant and relaxed. Cool cane furniture, wooden boards and an airy indoor-outdoor seating area help create this vibe, but the food does so even more. From hearty paysan stews of pork, red wine and rosemary to thyme spring chicken, mushroom and pumpkin risotto and a colourful linguine with king prawn and pesto, the dishes served here inside Causeway Bay’s Yeung Lu Chi Commercial Building on Jaffe Road carry flavours to evoke more Marseille and Milan than Hong Kong. The only potential problem with dining at Cafe Zense is its popularity – it’s smart to book ahead, especially during lunch on working days.
