Bismillah Kebab House

The seventy-fifth shop (!) on the first floor of Kowloon’s most famous, labyrinthine and, er, cosy mixed-use residential-commercial complex, Chungking Mansions, is a Turkish restaurant called Bismillah. The Nathan Road landmark is riddled with shops and restaurants – Indian, African, and Middle Eastern – and if you’re looking for high grade spices and Anatolian delicacies that are as tasty as they are express then you’d do well to pay a visit to Bismillah Kebab House. Not surprisingly, Bismillah is certified halal, and it’s healthy too. Great value meal deals dot the crowded walls, while the a la carte menu features all of your favourite Turkish dishes. Given the normal compact size of most Chungking Mansions eateries, it’s always best to book ahead to reserve a space.
