Day and night, Bao Bei is a chic Central hangout, the perfect location whether it is for a sophisticated lunch meeting, somewhere to unwind after work with a cocktail or two or a place to get the party started on the weekend. Located on Wyndham Street, Bao Bei offers gourmet baos and small plates that fuse together Chinese and Western influences, alongside a lengthy array of handcrafted drinks.
Very good ambience and great service. Food was also good. Portions nice. Would have preferred a few more vegetarian options. Would definitely recommend and go back.
Nice fusion food and a variety of cocktails available, some nostalgic to HK people. Environment quiet enough for chats. Lighting dimmed after 10pm which was good too.
good food good atmosphere. i would recommend to people who want fusion food that is tasty and fun. presentation is cute too. great for pictures!
With sleek and stylish decor, Bao Bei is one of Central Hong Kong’s trendiest offerings. Here you can share some small plates with friends while catching up over cocktails, or enjoy lunch or dinner in a sophisticated setting away from the hustle and bustle of the area. Bao Bei serves up Asian-influenced comfort food with a gourmet twist. We recommend trying one of Bao Bei’s speciality baos, like the kobe pork belly bao or the wagyu beef baoger with kabayaki black fungus and onion aioli.
Other delicious options include tapas style dishes like the crispy cuttlefish with homemade sauces, chicken lollipops, mapo tofu fries and tiger prawn cheese wonton. The drinks menu at Bao Bei is equally as delicious with a range of speciality cocktails. We love the typhoon no.10, a delectable combination of tanqueray no.10, osmanthus honey, orange juice, lemon juice, egg white and osmanthus jelly cake. To guarantee a table at this Central Hong Kong hotspot, making a reservation in advance is recommended.
