More about the restaurant: Deligator

Great restaurants are not hard to come by in Hong Kong, but somehow Cuban restaurants have slipped through the culinary net. Latin American cuisine is always a delight, and for too long Hong Kong has missed out on it: so we’re happy to announce the arrival of Deligator in Wan Chai. They’re a recent opening on Johnston Road – directly between Wan Chai and Admiralty stations, if you’re coming by train – and their menu takes in all the best of Cuban cuisine. Supplement dishes with a selection of cocktails – Havana Rum-based, wherever possible – and make the most of a night at Deligator in Wan Chai.

Thinking about making a Deligator booking?

Experience a piece of Havana in Hong Kong at Deligator, a stylish bar and restaurant on Johnston Road in Wan Chai. Reminiscent of a back street Cuban bar but with some trendy touches, Deligator is decorated with crocodile skin panelling, raw concrete and eclectic art and artefacts lining the walls, the perfect setting for enjoying some casual Cuban cuisine and cocktails with friends in the evening. From the iconic Cuban sandwich, packed with ham and cheese to the meatball marinara with homemade pork meatballs in a tomato-based seafood sauce, as well as a few American classics like Philly Cheese, Mac’n’Cheese and Lobster Roll, all served Cuban-style, Deligator’s bar snack game is seriously strong.

Pair your food with a cocktail from the lengthy selection, like the classic mojito, the dark and stormy made with Gosling Black Seal, lime and ginger beer, and the Old Cuban, a combination of Havana 3 Years, lime, mint, white sugar and prosecco. The next best thing to a Cuban retreat in Hong Kong, you’ll find Deligator placed between both Wan Chai and Admiralty train stations, attracting visitors from all over Hong Kong to its location on Wan Chai’s Johnston Road. Spaces are limited, so to snag the perfect table at Deligator, making a reservation in advance is recommended.
